Beswick H.M.Queen Elizabeth 2nd on Imperial -Model nos 1546 and H.R.H Duke of Edinburgh on Alamein  -Model nos 1588 both designed by Mr Folkard.
These are lovely iconic historical Beswick figurines of our dear late Queen Elizabeth 2nd riding sidesaddle on her favourite  dark chestnut horse ‘Imperial’ for the Trooping of the Colour in 1957 .Along with her husband His Royal Highness Duke of Edinburgh on the grey -Alamein.
A particularly fitting commemorative item to be treasured 
These were designed by Mr Folkard and are 10.5 inches 26.7 cm high. 
Both were only available between 1958-1981…..and are in very good condition with just one restored (glued) back leg each ..see photos.Hence they make the perfect couple and the leg issue is not noticable on display. New reins have been fitted to Imperial .
Unusually the Queen  has a perfect plume on her hat!
He is (as usual!) missing his sword and the leather reins have gone.
Not for the Beswick Connoisseur perhaps  but a pair getting rare and hard to find ,highly collectible due to the subject matter and at a bargain price compared to pristine examples!
Imperial has a blue nose( much desired by Beswick Collectors!)and Alamein has nice tight even dapples.
