Now this is really rare and in perfect vintage condition!Does have some light crazing as you would expect of a ceramic piece 80+ years old!

He is simply called Huntsman(On Rearing Horse) model 868 designed by Arthur Gredington.

This example is style one.In colourway 1 ….only available between 1940-1952….and is a First Version.The only available colourways in this version were Brown,Dark Chestnut and Rocking Horse Grey….all gloss .This is a lovely brown example.The huntsman is sitting straight up and his lower legs are vertical.His coat is cut away at the waist.He is riding a common headed horse.

Colourway No 1 is Orangey red coat ,cream breeches.

He really is a wonderful example of this rare model .

These older Beswick pieces really are exceptional.Definitely one for the serious collector....and has the old Beswick Ware Made in England stamp too!
